Think twice before using it as a source of Inspiration News

If there is already 100 000 posts over there which express a particular point of view, what is the point of adding a 100,001 st?

Look for a different angle. If you can't find one, then the temptation to rehash the wisdom and go find yourself some unrelated subjects.

When you're desperate for ideas, the default method to find something to blog on is, of course, to read the news. It is not the most organic way to inspire a post, but sometimes it is necessary - especially if you're on a deadline date. The problem is that hundreds of other bloggers with the writer of the block are the same thing. Follow all the worldwide lead, and by definition your blog will become proportionally less fresh and readable. Or as a player of baseball legend Yogi Berra, "no one will y anymore." It was too crowded. »

Here of United States, our most recent political scandal featured a narcissistic, prurient and ridiculously well appointed politician who thought that he could send erotic self-portraits to minors on Twitter and does not have to deal with the ramifications.

A good number of bloggers felt obliged to discuss the indiscretions of Congressman Weiner. Naturally, most of these bloggers found that the kind of person that tries to do with women half his age while embarrassing his wife semi-prominent on the national stage is not good for the Office. Others added that anyone would initially claim that his Twitter "has been hacked" should lose his job to show so little respect for the intelligence of its electorate.

On the other hand, the minority (thankfully) opinion was that it was a distraction, and we should all just go ahead and ourselves with the biggest, the most prominent things.* concern but no matter how feel you on the proper way Weiner was for his work, the very act of expressing an opinion on its consolidated trivial you in with the masses of blogging without imagination.

This is the downside to blogging on an ephemeral news story, including one that inspires such strong opinions. The surfaces of the history, then it quickly gets picked clean, leaving a meagre skeleton. There was little that was truly insightful to say about the scandal and few arguments pro or con for this was not obvious.

Worse still, bloggers who has written exclusively on their non-political subjects of choice tried to impose the scandal in their efforts to try to appear to be relevant.

Like everyone, I was wondering what I could do to attract attention and to capitalize on the time. A history that was so absurd on so many levels does not come around every day, and you cannot predict exactly when following will be displayed.

My blog is about personal finance, the second unsexy topic more in all of human activity (quilting remains # 1). Is there a way to link the national broadcast of the day into something subscribers to control your cash flow could get the value, without forcing?

Absolutely nothing, and it was homogeneous. I studied list Weiner of the assets and financial liabilities - America, which elected officials are required to disclose certain details federal- and found the dirt much more glorious than anything in her sex life (at least to an audience of fans of personal finance).

Weiner credit card balance amounted to about 10% of his annual salary and grows faster that he paid off the coast. He had spent the years amassing and not pay tickets for parking throughout Washington. He had more cars that there were people in his home and committed minor fraud to the vignette of record for its cheapest car on its most expensive car to save a few dollars. In addition, he paid the processing fee monthly on the balance of the credit card, which readers of my blog is something of a deadly sin of tax.

In short, it was yet another in the endless series of bad examples we could poke fun at the control of your cash flow. But in contrast to welfare mother with nine children of seven fathers or the winner of the lottery which celebrated his fortune by spending all and then some, Weiner held the distinction of being partly responsible for taxing the my readers and spend their money. Giving the position a power that bloggers who wrote simply "Weiner resign?" could not hope.

I have explained in a blog on the scandal because the opportunity presented. Of course, I had to seek a way to it was my closely topical blog, but it didn't take much effort to find a. Was no angle, or only a clumsy, I wouldn't have. A politician much more famous found in the biggest challenge a few weeks earlier, but Arnold Schwarzenegger has no money problems that I could write on (child retroactive forthcoming notwithstanding).

When everyone is zigging, which does not necessarily mean that you should zag. It might be your signal to find your own unique tangent - from para-zig, if you want to. Even that less travelled highway can get crowded at times.
