The Secret of the popularity of Blog

Antonius Cillessen of the University of Connecticut psychologist asked how children have become popular. Thus, he began research on social attitudes and first children adolescent peer relations in American schools. And he found something very interesting.

He concluded that each school had a lot of very nice children who are socially accepted and appreciated by everyone. But they are never considered popular.

Children who are considered to be a popular are often equally user-friendly as universally beloved children, but with a difference. Popular kids draw a border around themselves and exclude some "outcasts" of their surroundings.

Professor Antonius found that you can become popular, unless you learn how to exclude. He stumbled on a truth that philosopher Chinese that Confucius had described years earlier:

Build community and thousands will want to join. -Confucius

Is that a high range of truth clubs have accomplished too. They are the most severe excluding persons to enter their premises, they get more popular. Facebook increased when Friendster and other social sites is not. Why? because of their initial exclusive - they only allowed people with an email address .edu to register.

Apple. Rolex. Rivendell bike. All are incredibly popular because they focus on one type of audience and exclude others.

If you want to make your blog popular, too to learn how to exclude you. You should not apply to everyone. Only by creating exclusivity can you get the crowds to claim what you offer.

Decide who is your ideal reader. What is the feature that you value above all the rest? What are their features. What they like? They hate? (Or if not hate, what are they indifferent to)?Draw a border around yourself based on what your ideal reader likes and hates. Exclude posts written on some topics and restoration to a certain group of people.Let the world know (your page or your sidebar) that you are excluding and why.

I used this method to create a sense of exclusivity on my own blog. The first thing I did when I started to was to focus on that would be my ideal readers. I have reset to zero on taking action without apology, and people who have already achieved some success and are hungry for more information.

I know that if I can help my readers grow blogs, my site will grow automatically. And if I wanted to only focus on readers willing and able to take action and grow their blogs work.

This is why I focused on the exclusion of two types of audiences that are slow or inconsistent measures:

Beginners: people who do not have the skills or resources to implement things and take action.Hot News hunters: the people that get excited by every shiny new thing comes out and lose their time jumping from one thing to another.

On the page About my blog, I mentioned clearly that the above types of audiences are not welcome.

The advantage of this statement, is that it polarized my audience at my convenience. Beginners and new hunters go elsewhere. During this time, makers of action realize that it is many setae on my blog and subscribe to a greater number.

How you can become popular? Simple: do not serve everyone.Target the right people. Do not write for everyone.Mention on your page: what topics will cover you ever and whose people you will never go to the.Be choosy, selective, and will increase your reputation and influence.

Have you tried this approach on your blog? I would like to hear your thoughts on it in the comments.
