Alternion - social media ultimate, e-mail and Contact Manager

In the past that I spoke about social media as Meevr, Vinehub, Yiid and Streamy aggregators - to name a few. Now we have Alternion to add to the mixture, and it is certainly not your average aggregation tool. It is a "Web free service which allows you to combine and manage your social accounts, the flow of content, email and direct messages and stay in touch with your contacts from other services." He is currently in private beta, need you an invitation to use it. The service offers a large number of features and I ne will definitely not able to cover all the, but you can consult the page for more information.

The most important step, of course, connects all your social media accounts. Alternion supports an impressive array of 220 + services. The only disadvantage to this is that (currently) you can add only 20 accounts. so choose wisely. The list seems endless. For each of the services that you add, you can specify who can see your updates. You can choose to everyone, customers or just you. You can also choose whether to display a link on your profile for this service.

You can also add multiple accounts for each service. Once you enter your user name (or grant permission) and the service has been added, Alternion will show a (1) side of this so that you know that you have already added an account for this service. It is very easy to follow with which those you added and how many accounts you have for each.

Alternion you give total control over your privacy and allows you to decide which of your activities are public. In private life, you can control who can see your interests & hobbies, education & career, personal, coordinated data and activities. Then, in activities, you can obtain more details and choose the activities that are published to your thread of activities Alternion.

Alternion does not stop only with social media sites, it allows you also to connect and manage any IMAP or POP enabled account email. Your can then view your e-mail on the messages tab. All sources can be displayed at a time, or individually by e-mail account. The functions here are much like your regular e-mail. You can reply, forward, delete, mark as read/not read and add or remove the stars. If you have created labels/folders in your email accounts, you can view even all those in the Alternion. The only thing that appear to be missing here is the ability to mark messages as spam.

Alternion serves as a great address book with the ability to view sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr contacts. You can view all together or by service separately. If you have many contacts, it is very easy to find using the search bar. By clicking on a contact will give you an overview of their profile on this site. For example, with a touch of Facebook, you can view their updates, photos, videos, links and places all of the contacts section.

Your Alternion profile gives you a look at all your updates from each source that you added (separated by source or together), as well as photos, videos, who you are and you're disciples. Your updates can also be sorted by type, which is great if you are looking for something specific that you posted. You can even update your status on Facebook or Twitter from here Alternion. A nice touch is the ability to customize the theme of your profile manually or by using a premade theme.

Of course, you can view updates from your contacts on the home page. In addition, there are many other functions that I have not yet mentioned. Alternion is no doubt an impressive tool. Not only can all manage you from a single location, but it is certain that help increase your productivity. I must say, Alternion is certainly worth waiting for an invitation.
